It was founded in 1988 in San Jose, California, USA. The team is one of the successful teams in the California League since its inception in 1988. Rising Popularity: San Jose has always been known as a good sporting town, and this showed in their support to the past San Jose teams, including the Giants. With the team experiencing successes after successes, fans are taking notice and the team's attendance has improved in 14 of the last 17 years. The major league is also taking notice, and the fact that they've been affiliated with the San Francisco Giants for the past 22 years is proof of this. Also, San Jose Giants became one of the successful teams in the California League where they made it to the championship in 1998, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Following their achievements, the Giants have won many division titles which gained them the best record of any minor league Class A team in the 1990s. This made the team popular and successful in the field of baseball.
