Fishing Notes

One of the most relaxing pastimes you can enjoy is fishing. There are many ways you can go fishing, so many people have different preferences. The casual fisherman generally fishes from the land using a rod and reel setup with bait. There are so many type of setups that its hard to recommend any particular one to an individual. It is all a matter of preferences. Some people like to wade out into shallow water before the cast their line, usually wear thigh high rubber boots appropriately called waders. These enable a person to walk out to a certain depth in a body of water without getting entirely wet. There are limitations to wearing waders, the most obvious being that you can only go out so far before they reach their limit. Depending on your location a small boat can suffice when you need to go farther out to fish. If you are going deep sea fishing you would require a larger boat to be able to safely navigate the deep waters. Also, the farther out you go the larger fish can get. You may need a special setup and some additional hardware that will keep you attached to the boat to keep the fish from catching you. You can not just show up anywhere with a rod and start fishing. You need to be aware of the game laws wherever you intend to fish. Most places require you to have a special fishing license and there are limits on size and the amount that you can catch. You need to be familiar with all of these rules or it can result in you receiving a hefty fine. Some states allowed designated locations to be fished without a license. So if you do not intend to fish licensed, it would be wise to locate on of these areas before you cast out. Fishing is a hobby for moat and a sport for others. Many experienced anglers fish for sport not just as a hobby. They fish in tournaments which may give out cash and prizes for the most fish or the biggest fish caught. Fishing for sport is not as relaxing, since you are adding the pressure of competition, but some people enjoy it just as much if not more.
