Bob Murphy

Bob Murphy was born on 19th September in the year 1924, he was among the greatest professional sports commentator of all times. He was born in Oklahoma and he was not only a great sports broadcaster but also had immense knowledge of the game. Bob Murphy has a very sad ending to his illustrious careers as he was diagnosed with lung cancer at a very late stage of the disease. He retired in 2003 and settled down in Florida where he passed his last days in peace and tranquility.

Bob Murphy has this signature style of presenting baseball image with his pitch by pitch update. He was extremely specialized in providing a very positive approach to broadcasting. Bob Murphy never criticized any form of play and he always pointed out the positive of every game.

The players were also very fond of Bob Murphy since he always encouraged the players and cheered them up and improved their morale. In the year 1994 he was inducted into the baseball hall of fame for his contribution towards the game and his positive approach towards the game. Bob Murphy passed away on August 3rd 2004 and his demise caused much grief in the world of baseball.
