Paula Weishoff
The Doyen of Volleyball: Paula Weishoff is today considered as perhaps the greatest female athlete ever, in the sport
of volleyball. Born in the sophisticated Hollywood, California Paula Weishoff has represented the United States in
the 1984, 1992 and the 1996 Summer Olympics. She has won two medals for the United States in the Olympics, a
silver medal in the 1984 Olympics followed by a bronze in the 1992
Summer Olympics.
Paula Weishoff competed in the 1996 Olympics but failed to secure a position. Regarded as one of the greatest if not
the greatest female volleyball player ever, Paula Weishoff played numerous international events as a member of the
United States national team.

Today Paula Weishoff is the assistant head coach of the University of Southern California. She is in her seventh
season of coaching and has been named the top assistant coach in 1999 under head coach Mick Haley.
