of America currently playing in the NBA with Sacramento Kings. Marcus Thornton attended high school
at the Tara High School where he scored a staggeringly high average of 27 points per game as well as 6.5 rebounds in his senior year.
He attended university and played collegiate basketball for the Louisiana State University and he earned himself the
crown of Southeastern Conference Men�s Basketball Player of the Year Award in 2009.
So successful was Marcus Thornton in his college career that the NBA quickly drafted him into their pick for the 2009
season and he was chosen by the Miami Heat as the 43rd overall drafts pick that evening. However, they decided to
trade him with the New Orleans Hornets where he broke the scoring record for a single quarter by getting 23 points
and ending the match with 37.
He was then traded to the Sacramento Kings and he rewarded the Kings for picking him up by scoring a career high 42
points in a single game against the Golden State Warriors in 2011. Marcus Thornton is a gifted guard and he has
