Larry Walker

Larry Walker is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major League of the United States of America for 16 years between 1989 and 2005. Walker favored the position of a right fielder during his playing career.

Larry Walker had a glittering career during which time he represented the Montreal Expos between 1989 and 1994, the Colorado Rockies between 1995 and 2004, and finally the St Louis Cardinals during the 2004-2005 season. Walker has batted in 1,311 runs and has a batting average of .313.

He has also hit a staggering 383 home runs in his 16 year career. In terms of personal accolades, Larry Walker is one of the most decorated players in the history of the sport with 5 selections to the All Star team, 7 Golden Glove Award wins, 3 Silver Slugger Award wins and the National League’s Most Valuable Player Award which he won during the 1997 season for his contribution to the Rockies’ season.

Walker was a very superstitious man when it came to his time on the field and he always wore the number 33 on the back of his shirt and would swing his bat at least three times before actually hitting the ball.
