Charlotte, North Carolina has many teams representing it in many sections of the baseball league and its foremost
team in Minor League Baseball is
the Charlotte Knights. The team also takes part
in the International League is a
Class Triple-A affiliate of the
famous Chicago White Sox who play their baseball in the American League. The Knights
Stadium, located at Fort Mill, South Carolina is the home of the Charlotte Knights.
The team has gone through several changes of ownership after being originally founded
as the Charlotte Hornets and
the franchise of the Charlotte Knights won plenty of titles all throughout its illustrious history till it attained
a passage to the International League in 1993, becoming a Triple-A affiliate of the Indians from Cleveland.
It was during this time that the new Charlotte Knights franchise was born and ever since its debut in the league, the
team has won the International league on two occasions, the first win coming in its debut season of 1993 and the
second one in 1999.
After this successful period in the beginning, the Knights have entered somewhat of a lean patch and has not won a
single trophy for the last 12 years and for a team hailing from one of the greatest sporting cities of the country,
that is just unacceptable.
