Gary Sheffield

Gary Sheffield, better known as Sheff was born on November 18th, 1968 in Tampa, Florida. Gary Sheffield is currently retired and had played in the Major League Baseball as an outfielder.

His career span was during 1988 to 2009 out of which he played for eight major league clubs. Although he has mostly played as a right fielder during his entire career, he has occasionally also played left field, third base and shortstop.

There have also been a few hands full of games that Gary Sheffield has played as first base. Gary Sheffield has been known to have bad temper and attitude problems due to which he could not survive or continue in the Major leagues.

There have been instances where he was kicked out of the season because he chased the coach around the entire field when he was reprimanded for being late for practice. Gary Sheffield was known to be an amazing hitter or striker and his son is proving to be even better.

Gary Sheffield started his career with Minor League then moved on to Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Florida Marlins, Atlanta braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and finally Detroit Tigers after which he finally announced his retirement at the start of 2011.
